Coast v City
Without a win since the second round of the competition, Sunshine Coast FC host Brisbane City in the Saturday afternoon match of weekend.
City was involved in an incredible 10-goal thriller with Redlands United last Friday night, scoring a 96th minute equaliser, and will be aiming for their first clean sheet since mid May against the Coast cellar dwellers.
Sunshine Coast has scored 17 goals this season, but no player has scored more than two.
SWQ Thunder v Western Pride
Clive Berghofer Stadium
Saturday, 14 July, 5.00pm
Can Thunder upset Pride?
Last season’s NPL Queensland champions Western Pride head to Toowoomba to face SWQ Thunder at Clive Berghofer Stadium.
The Pride have lost their last two outings, conceding eight goals in the process and relinquishing their top spot on the competition ladder to now sit fourth.
Thunder, with a win and a draw in the past two rounds, will have their sights set on further disrupting the make-up of the ladder’s top four.
Lions FC v Moreton Bay United
Lions Stadium 1
Saturday, 14 July, 6.00pm
Top two clash at Lions Stadium
A mouth-watering clash awaits at Lions Stadium this Saturday night as second-placed Moreton Bay United travel across the Queensland capital to face current league leaders, Lions FC.
Lions have recorded maximum points in their last six matches while the Jets are on an impressive unbeaten run of 12 games without a loss.
The two clubs both sit on 45 competition points but Warren Moon’s side has two matches in hand, meaning this fixture could have a big say in the competition’s final standings at season’s end.
Lions ran out 2-0 winners when these two sides met earlier in the year with two goals to Jesse Daley, who has since signed for Seattle Sounders 2 in the United States.
Brisbane Strikers v Redlands United

Saturday, 14 July, 6.00pm
Strikers hungry for victory
With finals football still a mathematical possibility, Brisbane Strikers know three points are required against cross-town rivals Redlands United on Saturday night.
The Strikers have won lost three of their last five outings while two of Redlands’ five wins in 2018 have come in the past month.
Strikers secured a narrow 2-1 victory against Redlands back in Round 8.
Cairns FC v North Queensland United FC
Barlow Park
Saturday, 14 July, 6.30pm
Northern derby
Two of the NPL Queensland’s most northern sides do battle in this Round 21 encounter with North Queensland aiming to stop arguably the competition’s most in-form side.
Cairns are undefeated in their past six matches and last weekend managed an important point in a 2-2 draw with Olympic FC.
Despite not finding the back of the net against Olympic, striker Josh Taylor has scored 20 goals in 19 matches in 2018 and looms as the danger man for the home side.
United need a result against Cairns if they’re any chance of moving out of the relegation zone.
Magpies Crusaders FC v Gold Coast United FC

Sunday, 15 July, 3.00pm
Third game in nine days for Crusaders
Gold Coast United make the trip north to face Magpies Crusaders United in what will be the Mackay side’s third match in nine days.
After a 1-1 draw with SWQ Thunder in Toowoomba last Saturday, Carlos Alejo Garcia’s side lost 5-0 to Hyundai A-League club Brisbane Roar at BB Print Stadium last night.
Gold Coast secured a resounding 4-1 victory when these two clubs met in Round 8.

Third-placed Olympic FC host eighth-placed Brisbane Roar Youth in front of the Football Queensland livestream cameras in the final NPL Queensland match of Round 21.
Olympic, just one point behind Lions and Moreton Bay, have recorded three draws in their past four outings and know they’ll need to be more clinical against the Young Roar to keep the pressure on the top two.
