The inaugural Football Queensland (FQ) Community Cup finished on Saturday after seven days of competition at Mackay Junior Football Park.

The state-wide junior football tournament gave players the opportunity to compete at local representative level against other regions with more than 50 teams participating from across Queensland.
The FQ Community Cup was also talent a pathway for junior referees, with almost 40 match officials taking charge under the guidance of eight FQ referee coaches.
“The event was a great opportunity to unite our football community and strengthen our game across the state,” FQ General Manager of Football Operations Brendon Boss said.
“The competition was strong across all age groups and we’d like to thank Mackay Regional Football Zone for hosting a fantastic event.
“We’d also like to acknowledge our sponsors, the zone leaders, coaches, participants and volunteers for supporting the event and making it such a great success.”
Congratulations to the following teams, who won their respective Grand Finals to become champions of their age group:
U12 Boys – North Queensland United
U13 Boys – Magpies Crusaders United
U13 Girls – Football Brisbane
U14 Boys – Football Brisbane
U15 Boys – Football Gold Coast
U15 Girls – North Queensland United
U16 Boys – Sunshine Coast Football
