The schedule for the 2019 International Football Coaching Conference Australia (IFCCA) has been released today.
The international football conference will be held across two days at RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast on Saturday, 25 May and Sunday, 26 May.
Caltex Socceroos Head Coach Graham Arnold, Head Coach of Brighton & Albion Women Hope Powell OBE, CBE and Inter Academy Technical Director Marco Monti will be among the keynote speakers featured on the first day of the conference.
Arnold will sit down with The Courier-Mail’s football writer Marco Monteverde for a one-on-one on the topic of ‘Developing our National Team Identity’, before delegates will have the unique opportunity to ask the National Team Coach their questions as the floor is opened for a Q&A session.
Technical Director of the Inter Academy Marco Monti will present the Inter Milan methodology to delegates in a keynote presentation and practical session on the first day of the conference, alongside Inter Academy Coach Benjamin Musci.
Current Head Coach of Brighton & Hove Albion Women and former England Women’s manager Hope Powell will also speak on Saturday, discussing the topic of ‘Club to National Team Coaching’ with moderator, Football Federation Australia’s Emma Highwood.
Keynote speakers announced for the second day of the conference include High Performance & Medical Consultant to City Football Group Grant Downie OBE, the Aspire Academy’s Technical Coordinator Jonatan Cabanelas and Lead Neurophysiologist Maria Ruiz De Oña, and Sydney FC Technical Director Kelly Cross.
In addition to keynote presentations, panels will also be held on both days of the event, including the Indigenous Football panel and the Womens and Girls Development panel on Saturday, and discussions on The Role of Elite Academies and Australian Professional Academies on the second day of the event.
The remaining keynote speakers and panellists yet to be announced will be added to the schedule once announced.
The IFCCA ShowGizmo event app has also been released for download by conference delegates, which includes information on the speakers in attendance, the conference schedule, industry exhibitors and a function to submit questions for keynote presentations and panels.
