The International Football Coaching Conference Australia (IFCCA) has announced Joeys National Team Head Coach Trevor Morgan as a panellist for this year’s conference.
Morgan will join Caltex Socceroos Head Coach Graham Arnold and other yet to be announced speakers on the “Australian National Teams” panel, to be held during the event at the RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May 2019.
Boasting over 28 years of experience in coaching and development, Morgan has been in charge of the U17 Joeys side since 2018.
Morgan successfully led the team through the 2018 AFC U16 Championship, with the squad gaining qualification to the U17 FIFA World Cup to be held in Peru later this year.
Prior to his tenure with the U17 squad, Morgan worked as an Assistant Coach & Analyst for the U23 Australian squad, where he provided key insights to prepare the team for the AFC U23 Championships in China.
In addition to his experience on the national stage, Morgan gained experience coaching in the youth space as Head Coach of the Western Sydney Wanderers Youth team for five years, where he was also Assistant Coach of the senior team for the 2013-2014 season as they competed in the Hyundai A-League, and went on to win the AFC Champions League.
Throughout his expansive career, Morgan has gained valuable knowledge in developing Australia’s youth players and will bring this insight to IFCCA.
“I’m excited to attend IFCCA as it will bring together coaches from around the country and provide opportunities to learn and share with leaders in football from across the world,” Morgan said.
IFCCA will bring together experienced football professionals from around the world to share knowledge with coaches of all levels, from grassroots and community coaches to those in the National Premier Leagues and at professional clubs.
