With the halfway mark behind the teams now and minds fully focused on either on making top six or promotion to the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland, it’s time to look at who have been some of the top players this season with the Team of the Season so far.
How are players selected?
Throughout the season, Football Queensland (FQ) has been collecting coaches’ votes to determine Team of the Week (TOTW) each round. Coaches select three opposition players each game in the style of a 3-2-1.
For the following Team of the Season midway update, players have been selected based on how many times they’ve been selected in the Team of the Week.
If players have had an equal number of TOTW selections, players are selected based on total number of coach votes per game.
If players are on equal TOTW selections and coach votes, then for forwards and goalkeepers selection is based on the number of goals scored/conceded per match, while midfielders and defenders have been separated based on least number of red and yellow cards.
