Grant approvals from Round 100 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund have been announced, with 14 Football Queensland (FQ) affiliated organisations from across the state successful in their applications and approved to receive over $350,000 in funding.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund can support clubs by enhancing their capacity to provide services and opportunities that benefit their members and the community.
Applications from $500 to $35,000 are considered to help upgrade facilities along with the purchase of new equipment and machinery.
In the recent round of grant approvals, Football Hervey Bay, The Gap FC, Mt Gravatt Hawks, Port Douglas FC, Taringa Rovers Soccer FC and Brothers Townsville FC were all approved for $35,000, the maximum amount of funding, to help with their projects ranging from upgrading field lighting and change rooms to field renovations and construction of fencing.
The next round of Gambling Community Benefit Fund applications is now open, and will close on 11:59pm on 31 August 2019.
Queensland clubs and zones are encouraged to consider projects that may meet the criteria of the program.
If your organisation is interested in applying and would like to discuss your project or eligibility, please contact David O’Leary at Football Queensland on infrastructure@footballqueensland.com.au who can guide you through the process.
