The next two rounds of the Men’s South East Queensland Futsal Premier League (SEQ FPL) will be held this Saturday, 2 November at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre.
Round 5 and 6 of the SEQ FPL will see four matches played on Saturday, all of which can be viewed live and on demand on the Football Queensland (FQ) Facebook and YouTube.
ROUND 5:
Sunshine Coast Wave v Ipswich Futsal – 3:45pm
Sunshine Coast Wave currently sit in equal first on the ladder and are yet to lose a match in the 2019 SEQ FPL season. Off the back of two strong wins last weekend in Round 3 and Round 4, including a dominant 9-1 victory against Galaxy FC, Wave will be keen to extend their winning streak this weekend.
Ipswich Futsal meanwhile are yet to win a match this season and will face a tough task coming up against the in-form Sunshine Coast side.
Galaxy FC v Lions FC – 3:45pm
Galaxy FC recorded mixed results in Round 3 and Round 4 last weekend, securing a 7-3 win against Ipswich Futsal but also falling to a 9-1 loss at the hands of Sunshine Coast Wave.
Lions FC meanwhile currently sit atop the SEQ FPL table on equal points with Wave and remain undefeated after three matches. Lions will prove a good test for Galaxy this weekend as they look to climb up the SEQ FPL ladder.
ROUND 6:
Galaxy FC v Ipswich Futsal – 6:15pm
Galaxy FC and Ipswich Futsal will meet again in Round 6 of the SEQ FPL after their previous encounter in Round 4.
In that match, Galaxy came out on top to record a 7-3 victory, and having not won a match yet in 2019, the Ipswich side will need to turn their recent form around if they are to win one back against the Gold Coast team.
Sunshine Coast Wave v EliteFoot – 6:15pm
EliteFoot have recorded only one win from four matches so far this season, with their last win coming two rounds ago against Ipswich Futsal. Following recent losses to the top two sides in Lions FC and Sunshine Coast Wave, EliteFoot will now meet Wave again for a Round 6 clash.
Despite a Hugo Labaredas hat-trick in their Round 4 encounter, EliteFoot fell to a 6-4 defeat at the hands of Wave thanks to doubles to Jez Lofthouse and Tom Croft.
