Football Queensland has today confirmed the revised dates for the 2020 Skill Acquisition Phase (SAP) and Talent Support Program (TSP) events.
“We’re thrilled to confirm the new dates for our SAP and TSP events in 2020, with a host of carnivals to be held around the state,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“The season restart is getting closer and with return dates announced for our premier competitions and now these important SAP and TSP events also confirmed, the football community can begin looking to the calendar with more certainty.”
“SAP and TSP carnivals are critical in the development of our young players across both regional and South East Queensland, and we’re pleased to be able to accommodate a range of events even after the suspension of football earlier this year,” FQ State Technical Director Gabor Ganczer said.
“We thank all players, clubs, support staff and parents for their patience and look forward to seeing all of our talented young players back out on the pitch in the coming months.”
Five SAP carnivals will be held at Meakin Park between August and November, while Central Queensland and Townsville will play host to regional carnivals on Sunday, 16 August.
The 2020 TSP season will kick off with regional events hosted in Central Queensland and Cairns across the weekend commencing Saturday, 29 August.
Three SEQ-based TSP competitions will also be held throughout September and November with the participation of regional and metro TSP teams, the Brisbane Roar FC 2 Star Boys Academy and the QAS Girls Academy.

Please note that this schedule is subject to change if unforeseen circumstances influence the program in 2020. The events are also subject to the easing of Queensland Government restrictions regarding gatherings.
