Football Queensland (FQ) is pleased to announce a three-year extension to its partnership with international sports apparel brand Kappa.
The iconic football kit provider recently strengthened its support of Australian football by partnering with Hyundai A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers in addition to Western United, and has now reaffirmed its commitment to the local game by continuing as Football Queensland’s official apparel partner for a further three years.
“Football Queensland has established a strong relationship with Kappa over the last four years, and we’ve been extremely pleased with the productive partnership we’ve formed,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“Together we’ve been able to provide positive outcomes for football in Queensland, particularly for our referees across the state with the development of the first year referee uniform and Kappa teal shirt to support referees who are new to our game.
“Kappa has also produced quality on and off-field apparel for our state representative football and futsal teams since the partnership began, and we’re delighted that they will continue to do so for the next three years.
“Our relationship with Kappa goes beyond the high-quality garments produced. Over the past four years their team has consistently provided superb levels of customer service and they have never let us down; we didn’t hesitate when the opportunity to renew our partnership was presented.
“We’ve appreciated the support we’ve received from Kappa as we work to shape a bright future for football here in Queensland, and thank them for their continued investment in our beautiful game.”
Kappa Australia Director Ze’ev Bogaty said the partnership had been a valuable one for both parties since it began in 2017.
“Kappa has thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to help grow the game of football in Queensland through our partnership and the excellent relationship we have established with the team at Football Queensland,” Bogaty said.
“FQ’s support and strong belief in our brand and product range has helped to forge a close working relationship and a long-lasting and true partnership.
“We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with Football Queensland to support the growth of the game across the next three years.”
