45 coaches including over 20 Queensland Schools Premier League teachers have completed Part 1 of their FFA/AFC B Licence at Football Queensland (FQ) headquarters at Meakin Park in recent weeks.
The two B Licence courses were held across two weeks in October, led by FQ’s Lead Club Development Ambassador (Coaching) Davide Bertamini alongside FFA Advanced Course Instructors Craig Midgley and Graham Harvey.
“It was fantastic to welcome 45 coaches to Football Queensland headquarters at Meakin Park in recent weeks to complete Part 1 of their B Licence course,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“23 coaches took part in the first course which ran from October 12, while the following week saw 22 male and female Queensland Schools Premier League coaches complete Part 1 of their B Licence.
“It was great to have Brisbane Roar Head Coach Warren Moon, Matildas Assistant Coach Mel Andreatta and State Technical Director Gabor Ganczer in attendance throughout the course delivered for Queensland Schools Premier League teachers, while Marsden State High School football excellence students also attended to assist with the practical sessions.
“Football Queensland remains committed to improving coach development opportunities around the state, and by working with Queensland Schools Premier League we hope to continue strengthening participation experiences in schools while working towards the key targets outlined in our Strategic Plan.
“We look forward to further opportunities to collaborate with Queensland Schools Premier League to deliver advanced coach education opportunities for Queensland coaches.”
