Football Queensland (FQ) is excited to announce a partnership with Ultra Football as the official ball partner and preferred ball supplier to the football community.
The agreement will see Nike become the official competition ball for the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland and the Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) in 2021.
“Football Queensland is excited to partner with such an iconic football brand as we welcome Nike on board as our official ball partner and preferred ball supplier for 2021,” FQ President Ben Richardson said.
“This is a ground-breaking state-wide partnership for football here in Queensland which will see every single club directly benefit from the partnership with access also to a range of high-quality balls to suit clubs at all levels of the game.”
“After seeking feedback from clubs across the state, it was clear that Nike was the preferred ball for the Queensland football community, so Football Queensland is delighted to be able to deliver this outcome for clubs by welcoming Nike as our official ball partner for 2021,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“The partnership will also see Nike become the official competition ball for the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland and the Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) in 2021, aligning with the introduction of a new FQPL 2 competition and a revised NPL Women’s competition.
“Players and clubs at all levels of the game from the state’s premier competitions to the grassroots will benefit from this partnership, and we look forward to forming a strong working relationship with Ultra Football as the official distributor of Nike match balls in Queensland.”
Ultra Football General Manager Matthew Adams said the partnership would help to strengthen the quality of the game across Queensland.
“Ultra Football is proud to partner with Football Queensland to provide clubs across the state with access to the highest quality Nike footballs, offering exclusive pricing for clubs,” Adams said.
“The official competition ball of the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland will be the Nike Flight ball, engineered for precision flight using Nike Aerowsculpt technology.
“The official competition ball of the Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) will be the Merlin ball, while a range of other balls will be available to Queensland clubs.
“Through this partnership, Football Queensland clubs will be able to purchase Nike footballs from Ultra Football through an online portal to receive a discount on bulk purchases.”
