Some good weather seems to put us in a good position to see some complete rounds played in FQPL 3 Metro action. Here is a brief preview of what to expect.
Men’s
Mt Gravatt play host to The Gap in what could be a pivotal game for both sides at the bottom of the table. St George will feel confident of getting all three points in their trip to Acacia Ridge with The Lakes currently ahead of them with an extra game played. The Lakes face an interesting test to Toowong to keep up the pace on Sunday evening as the home side look to keep up with the top 4. A win for Centenary at home to Pine Hills can put them within striking distance of a top four spot when the two sides meet in their match up at Atthows Park. UQFC can leapfrog Western Spirit if they get a win at home after picking up maximum points last weekend. All will be on the line when Bayside host Newmarket with both sides eyeing for a strong position in the league standings and are only separated by 1 point with the home side having a game in hand.
Women’s
Ipswich will be looking to get back into the top four with a win against Springfield when they face off. Caboolture will be eager to back up their win last week when they take on North Star at Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex. Mt Gravatt have yet to taste defeat this season and will feel confident of getting the job done against a Bethania side who haven’t had the best of luck so far in 2022. An undefeated match up awaits with Toowong hosting North Brisbane in a huge clash at Dunmore Park on Saturday.
