FQPL 3 action returns this weekend in catch up form after an earlier round was postponed due to wet weather. Here is a brief preview of what we can expect!
FQPL 3 Men’s
Bayside will be eager to keep up their recent form when they host Western Spirit. After putting together a run of results, Bayside will feel confident of getting the job done at home. Newmarket and St. George square off in a top four battle with the league leaders looking to continue their unbeaten streak in 2022. Newmarket had a thrilling draw last week and will be hoping for all three points at home. The Lakes will be eager to keep up the pace at the top with St. George when they take on Mt. Gravatt away from home. After the thriller last week, nothing but three points will do for The Lakes to continue their pursuit of top spot. Toowong and Centenary face off as both teams sit in the middle/back of the ladder. With the teams below pushing on, both will be wary of getting a win to give them some breathing room. UQFC earned a crucial three points last week and will be hoping for much of the same against Pine Hills at home. The visitors know a win will keep them within a top four spot. Acacia Ridge will be looking for all three points in their clash against bottom placed The Gap at home. A win could see Acacia in for a finals shot come the latter stages.
FQPL 3 Women’s
Two undefeated sides face one another with North Brisbane taking on Mt Gravatt in their toughest test yet. Having not dropped a point, the home side will know a win would all but seal the league title against their opponents. Caboolture and Toowong also face off in a top four battle with both sides looking to capitalise on league position. After a narrow defeat last week, Caboolture will be eager to get back with a win against the visitors. Bethania will be hoping to get their first win against Springfield this weekend away from home. Both sides have had a tough year and three points would be a boost for both at this stage of the season.
