South Coast competitions had a week off last weekend due to rain but a full round is expected this weekend. Here is a brief preview of what is to come!
Men’s
Tallebudgera host league leaders Broadbeach in what is set to be a tough game for the Tigers. The Dolphins are in peak form and looking to continue their run to a title this season. Robina City and Runaway Bay do battle at the Croatian Sports Centre on Saturday. Robina edged past the Bayhawks in their last meeting and will be hoping for much the same. Kingscliff will feel confident in taking all three points away from home against the improved Nerang to keep their position in the top four. Southport and Musgrave face off at Ashmore Village Park in a must win game for both teams. Musgrave have slowly made the charge into the mix for a top four spot as they sit only a few games out from the four. Burleigh and Palm Beach do battle at Pizzey Park in a crucial game for both sides with the Bulldogs looking for 4th spot and Palm Beach still in with a chance at the title.
Women’s
Magic will look to edge closer to second spot when they host Robina on Monday night. After defeating Broadbeach last week Mudgeeraba will look to add another scalp in Palm Beach when the two sides meet. League leaders Musgrave head south of the border to take on Kingscliff in what could be a tricky game. Broadbeach have the bye.
