Football Queensland has today confirmed Catherine Clark, Chief Executive Officer of Paralympics Australia, as the keynote speaker for the upcoming launch of the Our Game Network – Queensland.
Passionate members of the female football community are invited to the exclusive launch event, which will be held from 6pm on Friday, 2 September at Olympic FC (Goodwin Park) ahead of the Kappa Women’s Super Cup Final.
“We’re delighted to welcome Catherine Clark as keynote speaker for the Our Game Network – Queensland launch event to provide an insight into her time working across a range of sports administration roles, including her experiences as a woman navigating leadership positions in sport,” FQ Manager – Participation (Women and Girls) Kate Lawson said.
“A highly respected sports administrator, Catherine has held several Chief Executive Officer positions with state national sports organisations including Netball Queensland and Gymnastics Australia in addition to her current role as CEO of Paralympics Australia.
“Catherine also boasts experience as a Board Member for organisations including Hockey Queensland, Shooting Australia, Australian University Sport and Australian Commonwealth Games Assocation (Queensland).
“We encourage all members of our football community who are passionate about the women’s game to join us before the kick-off of the Kappa Women’s Super Cup Final to hear from Catherine and other guest speakers in attendance as we launch the Our Game Network – Queensland.”
Clark will be joined as a speaker at the Our Game Network launch event by Sarah Walsh, Football Australia’s Head of Women’s Football, Women’s World Cup Legacy & Inclusion who will discuss Legacy ‘23 and the incredible opportunities that lie ahead for the women’s game as we prepare to welcome the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ to our shores.
Football Queensland Vice President, Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) Chair and leading sports lawyer Paula Robinson will host the launch event as FQ brings together advocates of female football to network, collaborate and discuss how to work together moving forward to grow the women’s game.
Tickets to the Our Game Network – Queensland launch event include canapes, a drink on arrival, entry to the Kappa Women’s Super Cup Final and the chance to win a signed CommBank Matildas jersey and 2x VIP tickets to the Commonwealth Bank Matildas VIP match day function.
