The statewide search for young futsal champions begins as the Football Queensland (FQ) Futsal State Titles nominations open for male and female teams from Under 12 to Youth age groups.

The 2023 tournament will be held at Nissan Arena from Saturday, 30 September to Monday, 2 October and will bring together the state’s most talented futsal players to determine age group and overall club champions.

“This is a very exciting event for young futsal players from every region, especially with the National Futsal Championships being held on the Gold Coast next year,” FQ Manager – Futsal Vince Sciacca said.

“The Futsal State Titles play an important role in the FQ Futsal State Team talent identification and selection process and throughout the tournament players will be identified and invited to trial for Queensland state teams; this incentive is sure to lead to some high-quality match minutes showcasing Queensland talent.

“These state events build the foundations of the futsal pathways for young players, and with these talented teams growing their love for the game I’m sure we’ll see them competing in the newly formed F-League soon enough.”

Clubs and teams from every region are encouraged to participate, with final age groups dependent on team nominations.
