Football Queensland (FQ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Ramage as the General Manager – Northern Region to drive the development of the game across Whitsunday Coast, Northern and Far North & Gulf.
Craig brings over 30 years of experience and involvement within the football community including as an FQ Academy coach, alongside his expertise in District Sales Management and Business Development gained through previous positions with some of the biggest brands in the world.
“We’re excited to welcome Craig Ramage as General Manager – Northern Region as we work to support the continued growth of the game in regional parts of the state,” Football Queensland CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“Craig not only brings valuable expertise to the role but also possesses a strong pre-existing relationship with the Northern football community and Football Queensland, stemming from his position as an FQ Academy coach.
“As General Manager – Northern, Craig will oversee the implementation and enhancement of FQ’s local competitions, programs and development pathways for all participants in the Whitsunday, Northern and Far North & Gulf regions.
“Craig’s addition to the region’s football ecosystem is an investment boost that is crucial to sustaining and driving the game’s development as we work towards achieving the targets outlined in FQ’s One Football 2023 – 2026 Strategy.
“His extensive knowledge and senior experience across both the football and business industries unlocks great potential as he succeeds the outgoing Declan Carnes, working to continue and build on Declan’s positive work in the region.
“We are confident in Craig’s ability to deliver beneficial outcomes for the entire Northern conference, and we look forward to welcoming him to the FQ team.”
