Football Queensland (FQ) is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to enhance and expand the network of Coach Education Tutors (CETs) across the state that will positively impact the continued development of coaches and the game in Queensland.
The Coach Education Tutor initiative and corresponding application screening process established by Football Australia have led to the recent expansion of FQ’s Coach Education Tutor network in Queensland. This initiative, which includes thorough screening and interviews, has welcomed eight new C Diploma tutors and four new B Diploma tutors, significantly enhancing the network’s capacity to deliver a diverse range of coaching courses effectively across the state.
“After years of dedicated effort, the accreditation of these Coach Education Tutors to deliver either ‘C’ Diplomas or ‘B’ Diplomas is not just a significant milestone, but a vital step in our ongoing commitment to elevate coaching standards and ensure a high-quality football experience for all participants,” FQ General Manager – Football & State Technical Director Gabor Ganczer said.
“By providing quality training and upskilling opportunities, we are fostering a culture of excellence that resonates across all levels of the game. Every coach plays a crucial role in delivering a top-tier experience, and we are dedicated to equipping them with the best training available.
“Expanding our network of CETs will not only enhance the quality of coaching across the state, but also enriches the overall experience for players as access to more qualified coaches will empower our community and help nurture the next generation of football talent.
“As FQ continues to implement and strive towards its strategic objectives, it remains committed to embracing modern learning tools and technology, ensuring that coaches are well-equipped to continue to educate and deliver the highest standards of football education, regardless of their location.”
The expansion of accredited coach tutors is essential to FQ’s 2023-2026 One Football Strategic Plan and the 2024-2026 Game Development strategy. By increasing the number of accredited tutors, FQ aims to enhance the quality of coaching education, reinforcing our dedication to supporting football growth in every region.
“The total number of CETs approved to deliver Grassroot (MiniRoos) and Foundation of Football courses has reached over 40, significantly strengthening our community coaching framework and fostering talent development throughout the state,” FQ Technical Director – Coach Development Davide Bertamini said.
“Additionally, with the latest accreditations, we now have 21 CETs qualified to deliver ‘C’ Diploma courses and four new ‘B’ Diploma CETs, bringing the total number of ‘B’ Diploma tutors to seven. This expansion, which includes representatives from regional areas, underscores our commitment to making football education accessible throughout Queensland and enhancing mentorship opportunities for coaches.
“This is a proud moment for Football Queensland and an important advancement in our strategy to strengthen football education throughout the state, and we commend the dedication and hard work of all those involved in this process and celebrate the high calibre of the new CETs.”
