Football Queensland is excited to announce the appointment of Tyler Logan as the new Club Development Ambassador – Wide Bay.
Logan joins FQ with a wealth of experience, having most recently served as Head of Foundation Phase & Performance Analysis at Olé Football Academy, while also acting as the 1st team Assistant Coach for the academy’s club, Western Suburbs FC, in New Zealand’s National League.
His previous experience also includes serving as Performance Analyst for the Samoa Men’s National Team during their recent World Cup Qualifiers, providing him with a deep understanding of the game and a proven ability to engage communities, positioning him perfectly to inspire and elevate football in the Wide Bay region.
Reflecting on his new role, Logan expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead, saying he is eager to build on the solid foundation already established and is committed to elevating the Wide Bay region into one of Queensland’s premier football hubs.
“Wide Bay is a growing area, with unique challenges geographically, excellent people and some world class facilities and for me, with all the available resources here, this provides an excellent opportunity to grow the game in Queensland and I can’t wait to get started,” incoming Club Development Ambassador – Wide Bay Tyler Logan said.
“I’ve been fortunate to have spent the last five years in one of New Zealand’s premier football environments and this gave me some perspective about what it takes, and the sacrifices involved, to give yourself a chance in making a living out of the game. I look forward to taking this experience and using it to support the players and coaches in the region as we work to continue to lift the level of football across the Wide Bay.
“Football for me is driven by the people within the region. Therefore, the biggest area for development is continuing to support and develop those within Wide Bay to grow the local game.
“The people in the Wide Bay region have been extremely welcoming and the area is full of genuinely good people who want to support the growth of the game in their region, and I look forward to getting to know the football community over the coming days and months.
“I see no reason why there can’t be more future Socceroos or Matildas coming from this region, and I look forward to being a small part of supporting Wide Bay’s next generation to reach that level.”
FQ General Manager – Football & State Technical Director Gabor Ganczer said Logan’s appointment demonstrates FQ’s ongoing commitment to strengthening football in the Wide Bay region, providing targeted support for long-term growth and development.
“Our Club Development Ambassadors (CDAs) work closely with local clubs, coaches, and participants to deliver high-quality programs, elevate coaching standards, and build strong development pathways, with Tyler’s appointment representing a key investment in the region’s football future,” Ganczer said.
“Tyler’s extensive experience and fresh perspective make him an invaluable addition to the FQ team, and we’re excited to see the positive impact he will have on football in the Wide Bay region.”
