Football Queensland (FQ) is excited to announce the return of the Queensland Futsal Cup, with games kicking off in August.
2025 sees the competition return for its third edition, with the open men’s and women’s draw set to be a display of high-quality skill and fierce competition.
In 2025, the competition is open to futsal and football clubs from every region in Queensland, with qualifying rounds played in each local region and a guaranteed spot in the finals for a regional Queensland team.
“Football Queensland is delighted to have the Queensland Futsal Cup returning for its third successive year – the Cup is a fantastic opportunity for the state’s best and brightest futsal and football clubs to showcase their talent on a statewide stage,” FQ Chief Executive Officer Robert Cavallucci said.
“As futsal continues to grow across Queensland in alignment with FQ’s strategic priority to develop the game, we are committed to ensuring we are providing valuable opportunities, like the Queensland Futsal Cup, to our players.
“It is crucial that our futsal players can display their skills and get competitive minutes against the state’s best, both in the interest of their personal development, and as we work towards our strategic target of having Queensland futsal representation at the national level with the FutsalRoos.”
As the competition fixtures are drawn, the home team can nominate their venue of choice. Venue selection options will vary from a smaller futsal pitch to a full-size international standard court, ensuring the competition is fast, fun and fierce.
The Final Series will be held over the weekend of 29-30 November at Nissan Arena, with the Semi Finals taking place on Saturday, 29 November and the Third Place Play-Off and Grand Final on Sunday, 30 November, where the respective Open Men’s and Open Women’s teams will be crowned champions of the 2025 Queensland Futsal Cup.
The 2025 nomination fee is $200 (ex GST) per team, with nominations closing on Friday, 1 August.
