Football Queensland is proud to announce the return of the Queensland Football Convention in 2026, the landmark annual event that welcomes industry leaders, clubs and delegates from across Queensland and across the world for two unmissable days of networking, collaboration and celebration.
The 2026 Queensland Football Convention will be held from Friday, 9 October to Sunday, 11 October, featuring sessions designed to shape and explore the future of the game. Across three packed days, football stakeholders including industry and club leaders will experience events including the Queensland Football Gala, Cocktail Networking Evening and newly introduced Golf Day.
“Football continues to evolve, and the Queensland Football Convention plays an integral role in shaping the future of football by providing a valuable opportunity for our stakeholders to gain insights and engage with expert-led panels and hands‑on workshops exploring key areas of the game – from player development to talent identification, officials, governance and more,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“Every year the convention gets bigger and better, establishing itself as the key milestone event in the Queensland football calendar. Football Queensland was proud to welcome over 1,000 passionate delegates of our game for last year’s event, highlighting the importance of collaboration and learning and the opportunities it brings to our football communities.
“The 2026 edition of the Queensland Football Convention will dive into the major innovations and emerging trends impacting the game, including data and the future of AI in football, performance and talent development, and the pathway to business growth and governance transformation through Future Club+.
