Queensland Powerchair Football Association
Football Queensland proudly supports the Queensland Powerchair Football Association which was founded to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to play team sport.
Powerchair Football is an adapted version of the world game of football. Two teams of four hit and spin a 13-inch football on a regular-size basketball court. The game is played by athletes who use powerchairs for their everyday mobility.
There are currently four powerchair teams competing within the QPFA in SEQ – Richlands Lions, Brisbane Strikers, Brisbane City & Moreton City Excelsior.
The sport is easy and quick to learn – and QPFA will provide all the necessary advice on sourcing footguards to participate. If you would like to join QPFA, please email qldpfa@gmail.com, or find out more at the QPFA website here!
