Three Queenslanders have been selected to play in a Young Matildas elite game on Wednesday, 7 April at Valentine Sports Park in Sydney.
Three QAS players who attended a Westfield Junior Matildas training camp last week did Queensland proud, according to head coach Rae Dower.
The Westfield Matildas will play Japan in the final of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup in Jordan tomorrow morning (Saturday, 3am AEST) after they defeated Thailand on penalties in the semi-final of the competition earlier in the week.
Queensland’s rising football stars will have the chance to impress in a two-day Joey’s Member Federation Identification Camp hosted at Football Queensland’s Meakin Park headquarters on April 6 and 7.
The Matildas touched down in Jordan last week, with the squad hitting their straps with the aim of adding a second AFC Women’s Asian Cup to their trophy cabinet.
