fq welcome
We would like to begin by acknowledging the Butchulla People, the traditional custodians of the land on which we gather this weekend. We pay our respects to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people attending this event.
A warm welcome to all players, referees, parents, and supporters. We’re thrilled to have everyone here, especially those attending an FQ Academy event for the first time, including Noosa Lions. This event is a fantastic opportunity for FQ Academy players from across the Central Conference to compete and for our technical staff to assess their development in line with the program syllabus.
Success in football is measured in many ways. We’re excited to see how players integrate the individual competencies they’ve honed during training into their team play. While individual skill is vital, the timing, context, and execution of footballing actions are just as important.
Parents, families, and coaches play a key role in supporting player growth during competitive matches. To help players thrive, we kindly ask spectators to avoid over-guidance from the sidelines. Your positive energy makes a real difference, so we encourage plenty of cheering and support. Our goal is to build an environment where players feel free to express themselves, take risks, and be creative on the pitch.
Best of luck to all players, coaches, and referees. We look forward to seeing everyone perform and shine on the field. Let’s make this a memorable start to the season!
