Sanctioning from Football Queensland is a requirement for all commercial and non-commercial events across Queensland that sit outside of the regular organised football season managed by Football Queensland.
Sanctioning is required under the terms of affiliation and participation licences for the purposes of compliance with requirements of the game’s insurers that cover clubs, club committees, injury to participant, risk and overall football management purposes.
The insurance cover provided to clubs and participant that is managed by Football Queensland only applies to events sanctioned by Football Queensland, and subject to the terms of the relevant policies.
