About & Primary Purpose of Role
The Manager – Futsal will be responsible for delivering on the strategic deliverables for Futsal, perform administrative and operational functions and provide professional support to all stakeholders in the game across the state.
The role will work with a team of competition administrators, referee development personnel and participation staff to create an environment that maximises the participation and enjoyment of futsal competitions and program participants through professional customer service and delivery of timely and accurate administrative functions.

Roles & Responsibilities
The Manager – Futsal will be required to:

- Deliver and operationalise strategies outlined in the 2020-2022 FQ Futsal Strategy, including but not limited to:
- Participation growth in players, coaches and match officials
- Build and develop school engagement opportunities
- Engage with stakeholders to increase access to appropriate facilities and infrastructure
- Support Futsal Clubs in their operations by assisting in building capability and capacity
- Manage the delivery of the FQ Futsal Competition Framework, including:
- Coordination of the following competition management and operations:
- Futsal State Titles
- National Futsal Championships
- F-League
- SEQ Futsal League
- Regional and Social Futsal competitions
- School competitions
- Other clinics, carnivals and camps that are developed from time to time
- Work in collaboration with the FQ Competitions Team for the successful delivery of Futsal competition
activities
- Coordination of the following competition management and operations:
- Engage with the FQ Referees Team, including but not limited to:
- Administration of Futsal Referee development and assessment programs
- Organise operations and logistics for FQ Futsal Referee courses
- Processes in place for Futsal Referee match appointments, assessments and payments
- Contribute to futsal policy construction that delivers on the strategic objectives of the organisation including
retention and development strategies of futsal referees and players - Actively contribute to the FQ and FA Participation Team through administrative and operational activities:
- Futsal activations as part of community engagements
- Work with Football Australia to grow the Sporting Schools program
- Build the delivery capability of a casual futsal coaching workforce
- General administrative functions where needed, these may include:
- Liaise and support FQ’s Events Manager with the delivery of key Futsal events
- Customer service functions
- Maintain and update organisation databases
- Any other responsibilities as directed or needed by the organisation as required

About You
The following skills and qualifications are essential:

- Previous experience and proven ability in an administrative and/or operational role
- Experience in working with diverse stakeholder groups, community organisations and volunteers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including a mature and professional approach to customer
service - Have effective oral and written communication skills and a confident manner in engaging with stakeholders
- Strong computer skills including the ability to use MS Dynamics, Word, Outlook, Excel and Customer Relationship Management platforms
- Excellent attention to detail, and ability to feedback issues to management in a professional manner
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, problem solve, and ask questions when needing further clarification
- The ability to work toward team operational goals, working independently or as part of a team in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work with limited direction to initiate procedures, set priorities and manage tasks
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously and with limited supervision
- Enthusiastic with a high-level of self-motivation and initiative
- Must hold a current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card or have the ability to obtain before commencing the position

The following skills and qualifications are desirable:
– Tertiary Qualifications in Sports Management or equivalent
– Experience or knowledge of the Sporting / Futsal industry
