Football Queensland will host the 2024 National Futsal Championships, which will be held Friday, 5 January to Tuesday, 9 January as part of an unmissable Summer Festival of Futsal. The NFC will be held at the state-of-the-art Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre.
Delivered in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland and Major Events Gold Coast, the National Futsal Championship will feature Football Threes, Beach Soccer exhibition matches and the Gold Coast International.
The 2024 National Futsal Championships will also welcome players in the following age groups: U12-U16 Boys, Youth Men and Open Men, U13-U17 Girls, Youth Women and Open Women, and Open AWD Mixed.
The event will also showcase other inclusive forms of the game through exhibition matches are held for Deaf Futsal, Blind Futsal and Powerchair Football.
NFC 24 will bring together participants, families, and spectators under the one roof, providing an electric atmosphere for the national tournament. With matches held across eight international courts, attendees can immerse themselves in all elements of the five-day event and watch on as other age groups and states battle it out.
Football Queensland will host exhibition matches of Beach Soccer, showing the city’s stunning beauty and maximising opportunities for players to get involved in another form of football. Beach Soccer favours agility, aerial skill, electric pace, spectacular dribbles, and lots of goals – all of which are a perfect complement to futsal.
Following the 2024 National Futsal Championships, Australia’s biggest club-based futsal tournament kicks off on 19 January at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure centre. The five-day tournament features Under 8’s to senior divisions for boys and girls with at least five games to be played per team.
