WHAT IS THE POLICY?
The ‘No Badge, No Bench, No Ref Room’ policy is mandated across all state-wide competitions in 2022 ensuring a consistent approach to team official identification across Queensland.
In 2022, all registered team officials (coaches, managers, physios, support staff) and referee assessors/instructors are required to display an ‘official’ ID card with their blue card and Football Australia numbers provided by Football Queensland.
The policy provides increased visibility and reassurance for parents and participants by clearly identifying registered team officials and giving surety in knowing that the individual possesses a blue card.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
It is a requirement for all coaches, managers and specialist staff to wear their ID card including parents of children in the team, MiniRoos team officials and in all senior competitions from Wednesday 20 July.
In addition to team officials, referee assessors and instructors must also wear their ID card in order to access the referee room.
ID cards are mandatory across all competitions including for access to the technical area. Team officials will NOT be able to participate in their respective duties until an ID card is provided. Referee assessors and instructors may NOT enter referee rooms until an ID card is provided.
To receive an ID card for the 2022 season, team officials must register in PlayFootball as a coach, manager or team official, provide blue card details and be approved by the club registrar. Referee assessors and instructors must also register in PlayFootball and contact referees@footballqueensland.com.au for their ID card.
