Former Socceroo Mitch Nichols will headline the NPL Men’s All Stars in a blockbuster match against Brisbane Roar Men at Perry Park on Saturday, 13 November.
The 23-man squad, coached by Peninsula Power boss Aaron Philip and Roar Academy coach Chris Grossmann, will feature some of the best players from the NPL Queensland Men’s competition.
FQ President Ben Richardson said selection for the squad was a fitting reward for players who excelled throughout the season.
“The NPL All Stars will be a perfect way to mark the end of the 2021 NPL season and the beginning of the new A-League Men’s season, which kicks off the following weekend,” said Richardson.
“There will be several familiar faces on both sides, with former NPL Coach of the Year Warren Moon now in charge of the Roar Men, and new Roar recruits Henry Hore and Jez Lofthouse both featuring in either the NPL All Stars or the Queensland team last year.
“I encourage all Queensland football fans to get down to Perry Park on Saturday to watch some of the best footballers in the state go head-to-head.”
Catch all the action from 5:00pm on Saturday, 13 November.
