The Girls United Leadership Program is a one day program that includes a MiniRoos Coaching Course and a MiniRefs Course, equipping participants with the skills and qualifications to both coach and referee children aged 4-11. The program is for girls aged 12+ and aims to develop, inspire and nurture the next generation of female coaches and referees, engaging girls in the wider football community. There is a significant lack of representation of women in leadership roles in sport. We want to provide girls with the opportunity to engage in football beyond being a player, expanding their love for and involvement in the game and their community.
Clubs can host Girls United Leadership Programs as a way to further engage players and their families in the club. Utilise the program to expand your database of MiniRoos coaches and referees whilst elevating women and girls in leadership positions. Click here to host a program.
We need people willing to become Coach Educators to deliver the MiniRoos Coaching Course element of the program. Coach educators need to be willing to learn, able to deliver course content (with support), enthusiastic and passionate about football. Click here to become a facilitator.
Starting to think about a casual job while you’re at high school, or perhaps you’re keen to do some volunteering? What better way to do either, than getting involved at your football club and the wider football community! The Girls United Leadership Programs equip participants with the skills and qualifications to coach MiniRoos teams and referee games. A brilliant opportunity for young women to take the first steps toward becoming strong and influential leaders in our sport. The program is held over just one day, and is full of fun, practical experience and support.
