Looking for a new challenge within officiating? Futsal is a great way to expand your knowledge of the game.
Being a fast-paced and high-energy format, officiating Futsal can improve the speed of your decision making, man management and fitness whilst experiencing refereeing in a different format of the game.
Follow these few simple steps to become a Futsal match official!
1. Brush up on Your Knowledge
FIFA have prepared a handy summary of Futsal’s rules to help you get to know how Futsal is officiated.
You should also check out the Futsal Laws of the Game prior to registering for a Level 3 Futsal Referee Course.
FIFA have updated the Futsal Laws of the Game making several changes to a variety of laws which can be viewed below.
2. Register for a Futsal Referee Course
To become a Futsal match official you must complete a basic theoretical introduction course covering the Futsal Laws of the Game, which provides an overview of Futsals laws and interpretations.
You must also complete the Level 3 Futsal Referee course which complements the Futsal Laws of the Game through assessment of practical sessions.

3. Complete your registration
To officiate in the SEQ Futsal Premier League, you must register through Play Football and select the ‘SEQ Futsal Referees’ package.
Registration through Play Football is $5 unless you are an outdoor referee in which case registration is free and referees must dual register.
