Queensland is set for a blockbuster month of football action as Super September kicks off with a host of events across the state, headlined by two unmissable CommBank Matildas and Socceroos matches at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.
As the business end of the season approaches, the massive month of football will feature major events across the state and thrilling Grand Final clashes from the NPL Queensland to our regional FQPL Finals in addition to national team matches in Brisbane.
Super September gets underway with the Kappa Women’s Super Cup Final at Goodwin Park on Friday, 2 September, which kicks off a huge weekend for the women’s game including the launch of the Our Game Network ahead of the CommBank Matildas’ match against Olympic Gold medalists Canada.

MATILDAS & SOCCEROOS
Don’t miss the chance to see your favourite national team stars in action as we welcome the CommBank Matildas and Socceroos to Queensland this September.
Australia’s most loved national team, the CommBank Matildas, will take on Olympic Gold medalists Canada in what is set to be a huge match at Suncorp Stadium as they prepare for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on home soil.
Just three weeks later, our Socceroos will take to the field for their final match in Australia prior to their FIFA World Cup campaign as they play New Zealand in a special commemorative clash as part of the 100 Years of Socceroos celebrations.
FQ COMPETITIONS
Super September will kick off with the Kappa Women’s Super Cup Final as Souths United and Lions FC go to battle at Goodwin Park.
Later in the month, Perry Park will play host to the NPL Queensland, FQPL 1 Men’s and Women’s and FQPL 2 Men’s Grand Finals as the state’s Premier competitions conclude.

The first ever FQPL Champions League Semi Final clash between Cairns’ Edge Hill United and Bundaberg’s Across the Waves FC on 24 September will mark an exciting milestone following the introduction of connected competitions in 2022.
