Football Queensland (FQ) is pleased to announce Matt Skinner, Lucinda Robertson and Lara Lee as the Grand Final referees for the 2018 National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland, NPL Women’s (NPLW) Queensland and Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) Grand Finals.
Skinner will take charge of the NPL Grand Final between Lions FC and Olympic FC at Lions Stadium on Sunday afternoon. James Sherry and Joey Lee will be Skinner’s assistant referees, with Jason Crow serving as the fourth official in the showpiece clash.
Robertson will officiate NPLW Grand Final between The Gap and BRFC/NTC, with Lauren James and Krystina Markovics assisting and Jessica Borg assuming the role of fourth official.
In the FQPL Grand Final, Lee will be assisted by Misuk Park and Oleg Labuz and fourth official Martin Krenes.
FQ State Referee Coach Ted Kearney said the selection of each official not only reflects their strong performances, but also their professional attitude throughout the season.
“The referees selected have performed consistently well all season and they’ve been rewarded with these Grand Final appointments,” he said.
“Their selections are not only a reflection on their on-field performance, it’s about being part of the team culture.
“The way they conduct themselves, their commitment, the way they give back to the game and how they interact with the next generation of referees is all taken into account.”
The NPL, NPLW and FQPL Grand Finals will be livestreamed on www.footballqueensland.com.au/live
