The National Premier Leagues Queensland (NPL) is the state’s top football competition.
The National Premier Leagues is the national second tier competition in Australia which underpins the Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League. The NPL operates in each Member Federation under a single national banner.
Since its exception in 2013, the league has expanded to 15 teams who will compete to be crowned champions of Queensland.
In 2018, Lions FC were crowned both Premiers and Champions of the competition after an incredible campaign that included a remarkable 16 game winning streak.
Lions FC also made the Grand Final of the National Premier Leagues Finals Series, falling just short of being crowned Australia’s top NPL side to South Australia’s Campbelltown City SC.
