Football in The Community
The FQ & Roar Football in the Community program aims to introduce football to boys and girls across the state through the delivery of grassroots football community programs including holiday clinics, before and after school sessions, and community engagement opportunities like half-time heroes and player appearances.
To get your child started on their football journey, find a program that best suits them from the buttons above. You can then find a suitable program by searching for your suburb, local club or school via the program finder.
Clubs and schools from across Queensland can also register an interest in hosting a Football in the Community program via the buttons above.
a new course for growth of the game
Football Queensland and Brisbane Roar FC are continuing to chart a new course for the growth and expansion of the game across Queensland, launching the ‘FQ & Roar Football in the Community ’ program and reinforcing the collaborative relationship forged by Queensland’s leading football organisations.
The program is an Australian football first, demonstrating a powerful alignment between a governing body and the professional game; together, determining best practice and the most effective and strategic way to support the ongoing growth and development of football as the state’s largest club-based participation sport.

One of the grittiest performances so far 💪⚽
Our Queensland Para Football team pushed frontrunners Victoria all the way in a tight, disciplined contest. A standout penalty save from Jared Eiby kept it 0–0 at half-time, with the team matching Victoria’s intensity despite a couple of injuries.
Two matches remain tomorrow:
🕥 10:35am AEDT - Football NSW
🕓 4:35pm AEDT - Northern NSW
