The South East Queensland Futsal Premier League (SEQFPL) Grand Finals were held at the Anna Meares Velodrome over the weekend, with Sunshine Coast Wave coming out triumphant in both the men’s and women’s Championship deciders.
The Galaxy FC youth men’s team defeated Redlands United Futsal Club in a penalty shoot-out nail biter.
MENS:

Sunshine Coast Wave claimed a come-from-behind win against Galaxy FC in the men’s Grand Final, defeating the Premiers 2-1.
Down 1-0 at half time thanks to a Thirone Inoue goal for Galaxy FC, Sunshine Coast Wave fought their way back into the game with second half goals to Ben Parkinson and Patrick Moore.
Sunshine Coast went on to win the game courtesy of a number of match-winning saves from Joel Jogiono.

Premiers Sunshine Coast Wave ended an invincible season with a 3-0 Grand Final victory over Arana United.
Sunshine Coast secured the Premiership-Championship double thanks to goals from Sofie Persson, Rebekah Horsey and Melissa Weckert.

The men’s youth SEQFPL Championship Grand Final went down to the wire, with Galaxy FC claiming the Championship after defeating Redlands United 3-2 on penalties.
Redlands United came back from a 4-1 half time score line to level and take the game to extra time, but the two teams still couldn’t be separated.
Galaxy FC went on to win the nail-biting encounter on penalties.
