With the coach education season now in full swing, Football Queensland (FQ)’s Meakin Park welcomed 40 coaches over the weekend for an AFC/FFA Senior C Licence course.
Following the release of the 2020-2022 Strategic Plan for football in Queensland, FQ has identified a focus on improving coach development opportunities the grow the number of coaches across the state.
Demand for advanced coach education courses in Queensland continues to grow, with 40 participants from 29 clubs taking part in the course over the weekend, run by FQ and co-facilitated by Football Brisbane Director of Coaching Martin Docherty.
The course was attended by coaches primarily hailing from community clubs, who had already completed FFA community coach education courses.
The next Senior C Licence course will be held in Cairns in April.
