Football Queensland (FQ) has today announced the 2021 State Referee Conference will be held on Saturday, 30 January and Sunday, 31 January 2021.
The conference will be held across two venues, Mt Maria College and the University of Queensland, and will feature an assessors and mentors’ workshop as part of the two-day event.
“The 2021 State Referee Conference will welcome referees from all levels of the game across the state, and will feature presentations from a range of guest speakers alongside updates to the Laws of the Game and an overview of the 2021 season,” State Referee Manager Jacqui Hurford said.
“Any referees who wish to mentor or assess next year will be required to attend the first day of the conference on Saturday, before the Sunday will welcome all match officials.
“The State Referee Conference will be a fantastic opportunity to bring our Queensland referees together ahead of the 2021 season, and we encourage all match officials to register.”
FQ has confirmed that no matches or competitions will be sanctioned on the weekend of Saturday, 30 January and Sunday, 31 January to provide an opportunity for all referees to attend the conference.
Further information on guest speakers and topics will be announced in the coming weeks.
