Football Queensland and Caloundra Football Club have announced the signing of the co-tenure of Meridan Sporting Complex to support the long-term financial and operational sustainability of Caloundra FC.
The signing of the co-tenure will further enable FQ to deliver additional support and build capacity within Caloundra FC’s new committee ahead of the 2024 season.
“We acknowledge that running a grassroots football club calls for an extraordinary amount of dedication and commitment, and that on occasion, clubs go through challenging times,” FQ General Manager – Central Coast Region Jordie Gerbes said.
“We have so far been impressed with Caloundra FC’s new committee being proactive, engaging, and transparent with Football Queensland, the Sunshine Coast Council and their members, so that together we can work in a collaborative and football first manner towards productive solutions for the club and local football community.”
“We want to acknowledge the collaboration and generous support from Football Queensland representatives and the Sunshine Coast Council, that has enabled Caloundra FC to move forward into a new, stable era of the club,” Caloundra FC President Robbin Bastiaans said.
“It is because of FQ’s contributions that our club is able to thrive and put our best foot forward for a successful 2024 season.”
Football Queensland will continue to support and work closely with Caloundra FC over the next 12 months to ensure they can continue delivering high-quality participation experiences for their members.
