Football Queensland has today released the 2024 draws for the NPL Queensland, FQPL 1 – 2, FQPL 3 – 6 Metro and Kappa Pro Series competitions alongside the FQ Academy Leagues for Advanced Juniors.
After its successful launch last year, the Kappa Pro Series returns for NPL Men and FQPL 1 Men in 2024 and will kick off on Friday, 2 February. Inaugural Kappa Pro Series Champions Gold Coast Knights open their campaign with a clash against Brisbane Roar FC as part of 12 Round 1 fixtures.
The NPL Women season gets underway the following weekend, headlined by the opening round clash between reigning Premiers Lions FC and newly promoted FQPL 1 Premiers Brisbane City FC on Friday, 9 February.
The FQ Academy Leagues will also commence from Friday, 9 February, with a staggered start for Advanced Juniors aged Under 9 to Under 18.
The final weekend of February is set to be an action-packed one as the first ever edition of the Kappa Pro Series Women kicks off alongside the NPL Men and FQPL 1 Men.
A Gold Coast Derby featuring Broadbeach United and Robina City FC is just one of several fascinating clashes set for Round 1 of the inaugural Kappa Pro Series Women, with 10 matches to be played in the opening round featuring teams from the FQPL 1 and FQPL 2 Women’s competitions.
The unmissable action on the Gold Coast continues as 2023 treble-winning NPL Men side Gold Coast Knights and FQPL 1 Men Champions Wynnum Wolves FC go head-to-head on Friday, 23 February, while newly promoted Broadbeach United and St George Willawong will get their first taste of the FQPL 1 as their 2024 campaigns kick off on the same weekend.
The opening weekend of March will bring even more excitement as the FQPL 2 Men and FQPL 3 – 6 Metro Men and Women leagues get underway, before the FQPL 1 and 2 Women competitions commence on Friday, 16 March.
