A top three clash will feature as the National Premier Leagues Women’s (NPLW) Queensland Round 24 Match of the Round when Moreton Bay United host Capalaba FC.
The NPLW Queensland Match of the Round will be available live and on demand on the FQ website, FQ Facebook and FQ YouTube on Monday night.
Both teams are looking to win to further secure their top three positions on the table and with Lions FC having the bye this week, there’s no better time than now to do so.
Moreton Bay United have had a steady season, currently sitting in second place on 50 points with 16 wins from 21 matches.
However, the team has had inconsistent form over their last four games as they recorded wins against Mitchelton and SWQ Thunder but drew with Souths United and The Gap.
Capalaba FC sit in third place just six points behind Moreton Bay United but they’re only just hanging onto that spot.
The Gap and Gold Coast United are hot on their tail with both teams sitting on 43 points in fourth and fifth.
The Bulldogs’ form has also been unpredictable, as they recently lost crucial games to both teams sitting below them on the table. Triumphing over Moreton Bay would further secure their current top three spot on the ladder.
The last time the two teams met was in Round 11 when Moreton Bay came away with a 2-1 win after a Meaghan McElligott double.
