Expressions of interest for Round 1 of the Active Community Infrastructure initiative will close next Friday, 6 December.
The Active Community Infrastructure initiative as part of Activate! Queensland allows Queenslanders to participate in physical activities in places and spaces that follow best practice and generate social benefits for the community.
Active Community Infrastructure is looking for projects that can provide a social benefit for Queenslanders, so that well-designed facilities and upgrades can be delivered where they are most needed.
The initiative allows organisations to address barriers to participation through infrastructure such as new change rooms, surfaces, club houses and additional lighting.
Active Community Infrastructure will identify projects that:
- Demonstrate community collaboration
- Support diverse and inclusive need
- Activate community spaces to encourage more Queenslanders to get active
Up to $1 million (GST exclusive) will be invested per project, with around 150 infrastructure projects set to benefit Queensland communities over the next three years through his initiative.
Expressions of interest for Round 1 of the Active Community Infrastructure initiative will close next Friday, 6 December.
