The Football Queensland (FQ) Community Cup is a state-wide junior football tournament, giving players the opportunity to compete at local representative level against other regions across seven days.
The 2020 FQ Community Cup will be held at Maroochydore Football Club on the Sunshine Coast from Monday, 6 July to Friday, 10 July.
Teams from regions across the state will converge on the Sunny Coast during the Winter school holidays and compete in the following age groups:
- Under 13, Under 14, Under 15 and Under 16 boys
- Under 13/14 and Under 15/16 girls
The tournament also acts as a talent pathway for junior referees, with emerging referees from each participating zone sent to officiate.
Last year 32 referees from across the state participated in this year’s tournament under the guidance of FQ referee coaches including Hyundai A-League Referee Alex King.
Over 50 teams from participating zones competed at the 2019 tournament, which was hosted by Far North Queensland Football on behalf of FQ.
