What is Girls United?
Girls United features a series of targeted programs that encourage women and girls to participate in football.
The programs have been specifically designed to encourage women and girls of all ages and backgrounds to be involved in the game, regardless of their previous experience, by providing opportunities for both new and existing participants to engage in football.

GET STARTED WITH A COME & TRY GALA EVENT
Before hosting a Girls United program, clubs are encouraged to run a COME & TRY GALA event to recruit new members to the club.
What is a Come & Try Gala Event?
Come & Try Gala events are designed to attract new participants (that fit within the required target market) to a club, and give them a taste of football in a fun, low key, inclusive environment.
Successful gala events should be followed up with the establishment of a free Girls United program at your club which can be run by FQ or club coaches/volunteers.
How can my club run a Come & Try Gala?
Football Queensland has created a toolkit and basic checklist to assist clubs in creating, developing and delivering their own Come & Try Galas.
