Football Queensland (FQ) is excited to announce the hugely successful FQ E-Series is back for a second season and registration is now open for all FIFA 21 fans.
After proving immensely popular in 2020, the online tournament is set to relaunch in a straight knockout format on 28 January in the lead-up to the traditional outdoor football season.
“The FQ E-Series played a significant role in keeping the Queensland football community connected during last year’s COVID-19 lockdown, with almost 800 men, women, boys and girls taking part,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“This delivered on a commitment made in the 2020-2022 Strategic Plan, where FQ identified the need to develop new products that engage new lovers of football.
“Beyond providing a fun and free experience for participants, the FQ E-Series enables us to engage young people and people who might not otherwise be involved in the sport.
“It will be great to see everyone get stuck in while representing their clubs and regions.”
This year’s tournament again takes place across two platforms – Xbox One and PS4 – with players split into four divisions: Xbox Juniors, Xbox Seniors, PS4 Juniors and PS4 Seniors.
The Junior categories are for participants born in 2004 and after. The Senior categories are for participants born in 2003 and before. All four Grand Finals are scheduled to be held on Sunday, 21 February 2021.
Registration is fully free and must be completed via the online registration form by 11:59pm on Thursday, 21 January 2021.
Each division is capped at 128 players, so get in quick to seal your spot!
All participants must agree to abide by the FQ E-Series Competition Rules and Football Australia’s Code of Conduct.
