32 young Queenslanders will travel to Coffs Harbour this weekend to compete in this year’s Westfield National Youth Championships (NYC) for Girls between Monday, 15 July and Friday, 19 July.
Queensland’s Under 14 and Under 15 Girls teams will head south tomorrow to prepare for the NYC, where they will compete against teams from other member federations.
A total of 21 teams from around Australia will represent their state at the tournament across the two age groups.
The Queensland Under 14 Girls side will open their campaign against academy team Newcastle Jets, while the Under 15 Girls will take on Capital Football in their first match on Monday.
Seven players from the 2018 Under 14 Girls team will return this year to represent Queensland, this time in the Under 15 side.
The tournament will kick off on Monday, 15 July at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, with finals to take place on the final day of the tournament on Friday, 19 July.
