Football Queensland has confirmed the full delivery of the FQ Academy Advanced Player Development Program for 9 to 16 year old girls and boys in 2023 and can now provide clear objectives and timelines for talented players and coaches from the Whitsunday Coast region.
Aligning the Whitsunday Coast programs with those delivered by Football Queensland in other regions, the FQ Academy Advanced Player Development Program has been introduced to interested players and coaches in July 2022 to initiate the establishment of the program that will progress and grow across coming seasons.
The FQ Academy is currently a part-time program for players in the Skill Acquisition and Game Training phases of football development (9 years to 16 years, male and female) and is designed to support club-based player development programs by offering players access to additional, high-level training and player support environments across a season.
Players and coaches participating in the FQ Academy program have the exclusive opportunity to attend regional and state carnivals and can be recognised for state or national representation through participation in these events and in elite Talent ID games or camps.
Football Queensland will host an online Parent Information Session on Friday, 5 August at 6pm via Zoom. Click here to register for the Info Session and to receive the Zoom meeting link.
