Football Queensland is pleased to confirm the tournament pools for the inaugural 2023 FQ School Futsal Championships State Titles.
To be held on Wednesday, 21 June and Thursday, 22 June at Nissan Arena, the tournament will bring together winners, runners up and semi finalists who have progressed through their perspective Queensland School Sport (QSS) regional Championships at the beginning of the school year.
“The competition for the FQ School Futsal Championships State Titles is a great opportunity for students to represent their school, taking their futsal passion to the next level in full length competitive games, with qualified referees,” FQ Manager – Futsal Vince Sciacca said.
“This is an exciting demonstration of the positive benefits that FQ’s integration of futsal programs within schools brings to our emerging futsal talent, and Football Queensland is delighted to welcome the students, families and friends for what is set to be an action packed two days of futsal.
“As part of our commitment to the development of futsal within regional Queensland, we’re also looking forward to hosting the Northern State Championships in August, with more details on this tournament to be announced shortly.”
The 58 participating teams from across seven QSS regions have been split into pools within the four competition categories of Junior Boys, Junior Girls, Senior Boys and Senior Girls, with the winners progressing into the knockout phase of the tournament where they will compete for the inaugural FQ School Futsal Championships titles.
