A top four clash will headline Round 4 of the Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) as SWQ Thunder host Ipswich Knights this Sunday.
All Round 4 matches this weekend will be available to watch live and on demand on the FQ YouTube channel.
Key Matches:
SWQ Thunder v Ipswich Knights
SWQ Thunder will come into their Round 4 encounter with Ipswich Knights off the back of a dominant 5-0 win against former NPL Queensland opponents Western Pride FC.
An Anthony Grant brace led the side to a second straight victory after they secured three points against Holland Park Hawks in Round 2.
Currently sitting fourth on the table, SWQ Thunder will no doubt be eyeing the top spot come season’s end as they work to jump back up into the NPL Men’s competition.
A win won’t come easy though, with Ipswich Knights sitting on equal points having recorded two wins of their own so far in 2020.
Knights should bring confidence into the clash following a 6-1 win over Wolves FC in Round 3 of the FQPL, which saw two of their players in Joshua Wilson and Lachlan Munn earning selection in Team of the Week.
The Ipswich side have looked one of the best sides in the opening rounds of the competition, and can strengthen their spot in the top three with a win against Thunder this weekend.

Souths United v Logan Lightning
Souths United will welcome Logan Lightning for a Round 4 clash this weekend as both sides look to record some vital points early in the season.
Despite only having played two matches this season, Logan remain three points ahead of Souths on the table after recording two wins in as many games.
Logan have scored five goals and conceded just one in their opening matches, and currently sit in fifth locked on points with SWQ Thunder and Ipswich Knights.
Souths United meanwhile have recorded one win and two losses in their first three matches of 2020.
After two consecutive losses to kick off their campaign, Souths gained their first three points of the season last round against Holland Park Hawks in a close 3-2 win.
The victory saw two Souths players selected in the Team of the Week, Joshua Byrne and Jordain Marshall, and no doubt the side will hope to secure another three points this weekend off the back of last week’s win.

Key Players:
Anthony Grant (SWQ Thunder): After netting a brace last round, Grant took his goal tally to four in three matches ahead of Round 4.
Lachlan Munn (Ipswich Knights): Munn’s involvement in his side’s 6-1 win last round saw him earn a spot in the Team of the Week, and he will need to be at his best come this weekend.
Paul Falso (Mitchelton FC): Falso was one of Mitchelton’s best last round and can help his side to victory against Mitchelton FC this weekend if he continues his form.
