The Football Queensland Premier League Women’s is the state’s second tier of football in Queensland, underpinning the National Premier Leagues.
The FQPL Women’s was launched in 2021. It features eight teams in the FQPL 1 competition and ten in the FQPL 2 competition.
The Premiership winning side from FQPL 1 will gain promotion to the NPL competition while the Premiership side from FQPL 2 will gain promotion to the FQPL 1 competition.
In 2022, it was Robina City who gained promotion to FQPL 1 after winning the Premiership and Grand Final Championship to complete the double.
Peninsula Power won promotion to the NPL competition after winning the Premiership. Mitchelton FC also won promotion to the NPL after winning the Grand Final against Peninsula Power 1-0.
